Nah - I'm already building my own paradigms, and I keep trying to group my party the way I want, but I keep getting told I can't. LOL! I have to play more apparently...

Finished the game early this week...overall I loved it and now i`m just doing some missions and CP grinding to try and beat that Titan you see walking around in the background in Pulse and trying to get the big Turtles to drop a Trap so I can upgrade Lightning`s weapon to the ultimate one.

P.S. Nyn...you can`t till chapter 11 I believe.

I thought it is in chapter 10 but I might be wrong on that as well...

Riel,

How did you beat the Esper of Vanille? I have no clue how to do it. That thing beats the **** out of me all the time. I can't even beat a phalanx without using an Esper.
Any hint would be appreciated.. you can send me a PM if you don't want to spoil the others.

cheers

BLARGH on video games that are so gorgeous and realistic that then add in scenes where you're MILES UP IN THE SKY. My fear of heights translates to these games, and I just finished a section where they're jumping around outside the freaking airship...ugh!

So what strategy are you guys using/did you use - keeping the same 3 characters in your party so you can focus the equipment upgrades and such on just them, or are you switching folks in and out?

I play the most of the time with the party the games gives me. I only try different setups when an enemy, a boss or an Esper is too hard.

When you are on the airplane than I guess you are in chapter 7?

I think so - 7 or 8. I only play a few hours a week, although it's been picking up lately with more time to take over the living room and get some time in. =)

I know I eventually get to ride a chocobo, and I still haven't hit that yet, so I've got a ways to go I think!

Yeah,I wont grind to get all the trophies, that`s for sure hehe...I haven`t played in a while, like I thought,as soon as I finsihed the main story,I went back to Pulse to try some more missions but lost interest for now...and Exi sorry, took so long to see what you asked about Vanille`s Eidolon,Ithink you probably are past that by now but the trick is to use Saboteur skills/spells a lot...I made it that way but it took me a lot of tries as well...the hardest fight in the game for me,besides the big missions quests where you have to have role 5 opened up.

After a lot of grinding I was able to beat the last Esper.. Now I can progress again within the story line :-)

I love the Saboteur role - although it took me a long time to see the real value in it - now I tend to start fights with that and synergist.

Haven't played in a couple of days, now I want to go home and try again!

It's really nice in the end game stuff when you go syn/syn/syn and sab/sab/sab.

So I'm totally going all chicks in my party right now. Freaking Hope never heals in time, and while I LOVE Sazh for his Haste and stuff, he's not helpful in other places. And I'm sorry, but Snow? All looks and no meat. Why's he even there?

I thought i'd use Fang as my party leader, but not so much - I seem to be sticking with Light, or dying a lot.

Looks like I'll have a lot of time to play Saturday - which is good cause the story is getting interesting now.
